The Jacques-Cartier valley: a natural gem carved by glaciers

Only 30 minutes from Quebec City, the Jacques-Cartier valley is considered one of the finest glacial valleys in Quebec, at the heart of the national park of the same name. It stands out for its spectacular depth of more than 550 metres, carved by the glaciers that shaped the region over millennia.

The valley is dominated by a vast mountain plateau rising from the Laurentian massif, cut by deep valleys where the Jacques-Cartier River winds, by turns calm and contemplative, lively and sporting. Together it makes a striking panorama:

That is exactly what AURA offers, a grand immersive experience presented at église Saint-Roch in Quebec City since December 2025, which turns the nave into a living canvas celebrating the harmony between people and nature. Created by the studio Moment Factory, this 45-minute odyssey of image and sound is a real discovery that stays with you long after you've walked out.
